Each student nurtures a plant during the unit and keeps a plant log to collect and analyze data about it. They set up a fair test to collect data about a flower bulb, then display their collected data in tally tables, line plots, bar graphs, and line graphs. Read more >
Students make and test conjectures about the perimeter and area of regular 2-dimensional shapes. They explore a set of 3-dimensional shapes to develop comparisons of polyhedra, cones, and cylinders.
