WeAreTeachers Teams with Carolina Biological Supply Company to Give Teachers Cash, Video Cameras for Interactive Science Experiments
WeAreTeachers, the online social and business network that brings together teachers, learners, and content in the education industry announces the launch of our “
Understanding Science Through Hands-On Interaction” microgrant, sponsored by Carolina Biological Supply Company.
This microgrant will focus on helping teachers bring science to life in their classrooms by asking teachers to share their best ideas for creating meaningful, interactive projects that get the students involved and excited about science.
Teachers can apply at
WeAreTeachers. Their project ideas will then be placed in an online gallery for voting. The ten projects that garner the most votes will receive $200 in cash and a Flip
™ Video or iPod nano
® with video to capture the implementation of their project idea.
The application period for this microgrant will run from March 2 - March 30, 2010. Projects will be available for voting from April 1-April 15. Winners will be announced April 19, 2010.
