Determining the Molar Enthalpy of Fusion of Water
As ice melts, the hot water will lose heat to the ice and to the cold water it forms. The heat lost by the warm water and ultimately the molar enthalpy of fusion of ice can be calculated by measuring the initial temperature of the warm water and the final temperature of the water.
