With budgets slashed, teachers are looking for different ways to procure needed supplies for their classes. Many are turning to parents and community organizations for help. Purchasing and donating basic school supplies is easy for parents, but they don’t always know the supplies needed for science labs—or where to get them. That is why we teamed with teachers to design and launch the new “Wish List” feature at
Carolina.com.
“Wish List” works with our popular “Shopping List” feature. Click the Shopping Lists link at the very top of the Web site and log in. Create a new shopping list and browse the site to find items you need, adding them to your list as you go. Once the list is complete, check the option that says “Set as Wish List” (found just above your list), and save your changes.
Finally, use the Email List feature to share your list with everyone you wish. They’ll receive a link to your items and, just like a gift registry, your wish list will keep track of how many of each item is purchased. When you email a list, we recommend adding a short note in the Message box telling the recipient who you are and what you need. It’s also a great place to remind recipients of the shipping address for your school!
Wish lists are an excellent way to let your community support local schools and provide you with the tools and supplies you need. For more information, visit us at
