Carolina BioKits®: Food Nutrient Analysis
Introduce students to food chemistry! The Food Nutrient Analysis BioKit allows students to perform qualitative tests for sugar, starch, lipid, protein, and vitamin C on standards and control samples. Students then use these tests to determine the identity of 2 unknown substances. Instructional material describes the function of these nutrients in the body, their importance, and how the qualitative tests work. Materials are enough for a class of 30 working in pairs.
