Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not actually food for Daphnia It should be noted that this product is not actually food for Daphnia themselves. It is eaten by bacteria which the Daphnia then eat. Also note that, as in my case, it may ship separately from the Daphnia even if you order them together, arriving later than the animals themselves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to use I'm glad that I got this product. I had already ordered my Daphnia, and everything that I needed for my project when I remembered that I didn't have anything to feed the Daphnia. All the videos I watched said that the best food was 'green water'- but that took weeks to make. So when I got my shipment of daphnia, I put them in an aquarium, and just added the pellet of food. I was worried that the pellet wouldn't work, because it didn't sink to the bottom right away. Eventually it did, and in 2-3 days, it broke apart and the daphnia ate it. The food really worked, because the daphnia lived for 2 weeks afterward, and none of them seemed to die of starvation. :)
