Living Organism Care Information

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall, every living specimen that I order from Carolina comes in great shape. I especially appreciate the good directions and tips for keeping the specimens alive and thriving. I have always been able to get a great colony going from the adults I purchase and the adults work perfectly for the Beetle Races activity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Classroom Pet I ever met My students call them "Darling Beetles". Darkling Beetles are truly darling. They don't bite. They are gentle, active and they're easy to care for. They smell nice in clean environment. Try a sage branch in their terrarium. The students love them. They are almost, adorable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mealworms I used this kit in a kindergarten class this year. It was wonderful. It provided opportunity for hands on, predicting, science journals, utilizing the characteristics of non-fiction writing, and satisfied (and stimulated) the children's natural curiosity. We accidently found out that baby chicks love to eat mealworms!
