Rated 1 out of 5 by from Near zero Percent Germination of broad beans The broad bean sack that I received indicated an 85% germination of the enclosed pound of broad beans. Using the "ragdoll" procedure described in the instructions with the beans. Only 1 of approx 100 beans planted germinated within 5 days after initial water soaking (7 hours). I also scrolled field corn and lima bean bush Thorogreen variety seeds the same time and way that I ragdoll scrolled the broad beans. Both of these germinated at approx 85% rate within 24-48 hr after soaking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cellular respiration specimen! The seeds were all about the same size for easy comparison, and they germinated very well, and quickly. Perfect for cellular respiration labs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beans that actually grow! I homeschool my grade school aged kids, and we have to plant beans or use beans for science every year, it seems. They never grow! I was so happy to find these, because they did exactly what they were supposed to. I wish there was a smaller package for homeschooling, but I am thrilled that they grew and my kids got to see the plant formation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product to use with special needs students I bought this product to integrate science into a language arts intervention unit. It was incredibly easy to set up and have the kids do and they are enjoying it. We are on Week 1 and they come in everyday eager to see their plants. Although we didn't get our bees for pollination included in our kit as we were hoping, the plants have grown very quickly using our artificial light system.
