Rated 4 out of 5 by from Phenomenal hands-on tool! This set exceeds the curriculum requirements for the grade level (4th) I serve. The students are clearly able to grasp how Earth's surface changes by manipulating the blocks and foam pieces. I was truly impressed with how sturdy the foam pieces are and how they lock into place according to the shift you create. What I also enjoy and find helpful as a ready-made center/station activity is the packet of brief descriptions given for "said" movements. Super easy enough for the kids to interpret and explore.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Visual This is a good, clear visual. Effective in a formal setting, less effective as a 'hands on' demonstration- There's not enough pieces for multiple students to participate and the cost is too high to have several sets. The cost is the biggest negative. For foam and cardboard blocks, it seems too expensive for the asking price. Notes: Volcano instructions recommend dry ice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fault Model This is a great demonstrations model. I would prefer the fault blocks without the other items, and it is a little pricey for cardboard. Teach: normal, reverse, graben/horst, etc.
