Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great as pets, very long lived! These are very hardy aquatic frogs. Rule of thumb is about 10 gallons per frog have a slow moving filter to get rid of waste and keep water clean, and if your going to have more than one make sure they are the same size, or the larger frog may eat a small one! Have tank covered, they have been known to climb up sides of aquarium and escape! Temperature shouldnt drop below 70F. They eat sinking frog pellets, live earthworms, frozen, bloodworms cubes, will eat small live fish once in a while but be careful they are gluttons and will overeat if given too much food. These frogs actually may live longer than 10 years, 20 or even 30 is possible, so make sure your ready for a very long commitment caring for them, and if your breeding them to find homes for all those tadpoles and young frogs! Males make a humming noise during mating season.
