Luna Moths 3 Cocoons arrived on time and I can tell they are definitely alive! : ) Here's hoping that they hatch! November 10, 2014
Great Experience I order these cocoons every year. This year I ordered them late (May) and they still delivered. I received 15 cocoons in great shape. 3 have already emerged. They Females draw the local males as I set an aquarium sideways against a screened window on my porch. I put the wild males in the aquarium and they mate and lay eggs. The larvae emerge in 7-10 days and I feed them Walnut leaves daily. Last year I was successful in growing 25+ larva to pupa. The Larva are beautiful translucent Green. It takes about a month to grow to pupa. I had problems with the 2nd emergence in July. Too hot on my porch. Plan to use sleeves this year. Ref Paul Villards book " Mopths and How to Rear them. clean, live product All the luna cocoons have always hatched out in the spring. They are absolutely beautiful December 10, 2013
Wonderful! The cocoons were shipped quickly and arrived in 2 days as promised. 3 of 4 cocoons hatched and were lovely. The one remaining cocoon is likely still in hibernation, we will follow the instructions and put it back in the fridge. I wish there had been better info on releasing the moths: where, when, etc., but overall, I'm very pleased. April 29, 2013
