Rated 4 out of 5 by from Didn't cause any HEARTache! This was a great dissection activity- I used it with intellectually gifted 5th graders and they learned a lot and loved it! I wish the teacher's manual had better directions that were more clear, shorter, and easier to understand. I had to supplement the activity with YouTube videos to make sure we were doing the dissection properly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heart Comparison Great way to see the similarities between our hearts and other mammals. This kit also gives students the chance to identify parts of a real heart, not just a 2-D paper model or even a 3-D model. The body and its parts are not color coded. Dissection also helps the students understand how it works by seeing and feeling the connections.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Over all good The students loved the dissection which showed all of the parts of the hearts. The hearts had varying amounts of veins and arteries attached so they were not all uniform. Also, although better than formaldehyde, the smell was very strong from the cow heart. The packaging was very easy to use.
