Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Basic Model Set This set has a nice number and assortment of atoms, and can be used to construct a large number of organic or inorganic molecules. The three varieties of springs (Aliphatic are 1.5 in., C-H are 1.0 in., Aromatic are 1-1/8 in.) are helpful. Because of the tightness, It is sometimes difficult to insert the spring bonds into the atom holes (you might want to keep a pair of pliers handy.) The instructions recommend a twisting motion to insert and remove the bonds. I have also cut small dowel rods to use as bonds. These wood dowels allow for a stiffer structure since the springs tend to bend in larger structures.
