This product provided an excellent learning opportunity. These large owl pellet's were a great way to explore the predator / prey relationships that exist in nature. The students were excited about finding what was inside the pellet. The large owl pellet's were easy to work with and most contained entire skeletons that the students assembled and identified. works well for owl pellet labs We thought these were a little small for the "large" owl pellets- they seemed to average about 2" long. However we did find a variety of bones including a few intact skulls, so we were happy with the quality. November 20, 2014
Best Owl Pellets We've Had Owl pellets were provided in a kit that we purchased for a summer camp. This kit came from another company. The owl pellets included in this kit were dry and crumbled when the foil was taken off. They also did not contain very many skeletal parts. I reordered from Carolina Biological and there was a world of difference in the ones that we received. Lots of skeletal parts and the kids were amazed at what they found! November 19, 2014
The owl pellets were a great visual when teaching about food chains I love using the owl pellets in the classroom! At first the kids were apprehensive because it was owl puke but once they started investigating they loved it! The pellets were full of bones and it was easy for students to figure out that owls diet. November 19, 2014
