Challenge students to think about how they use energy. This card set works for teams, individuals, and small or large groups. Use any or all the cards depending on the topic area covered. Energy study guide questions include: advantages and disadvantages, descriptions, real-world examples, and products and uses for each type of energy featured.

Includes instructions for 4 different games:
Game 1: ENERGY
Instead of points, players receive a letter in the word “ENERGY” for each correct answer. The first to spell ENERGY wins.

Game 2: Energy Battles
Teacher selects an energy term and writes blank spaces on the board to represent the term. For example, “biofuel” becomes _ _ _ _ _ _ _.
Teacher reads the question. The first to buzz in with the correct answer gets the opportunity to guess a letter. Points are awarded for guessing correctly. If guessed incorrectly, the opposing team gets an opportunity to answer the question and guess. The first to correctly identify the word wins.

Game 3: Tic-Tac-Toe
Correct answer earns the right to place an “X” or “O” on the board. The first team to tic-tac-toe wins.

Game 4: Fact Check
Points are awarded for each correct answer. Team with the most points wins. Once a question is answered, that card is removed from play.
