Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very helpful for suture practice I'm a medical student and prior to clinical training, wanted to take the advice of a mentoring doctor and practice all the fundamentals of suturing prior to actual clinical training in class (and actual clinicals on real people!). Getting to practice on a little piggy who gave his all so I could be a better care provider for real people, was incredibly helpful. I made a few mistakes my first time that I was able to correct the second time. Practicing on oranges or bananas does not give me the same quality experience for my patient. Thanks for the opportunity -- I did my clinical training in class, went to the ER and right out of the gate, got a 3 year old whose brother whacked him in the skull with a bat. The doctor passed the patient to me, and I did a phenomenal job for this brave little boy, and the doctor gave me additional clinical responsibilities because I had practiced, and practiced well. (Thanks, little piggy, I did very well by the little boy because of you...).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Less Odor; More Enjoyment The large pigs were a great size to use for my high school anatomy/physiology class to do comparative anatomy. The odor is very tolerable compared to the older solution. Definately worth the price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More than I expected We were so excited about the excellent specimen received via Carolina. It was actually the perfect size to really dissect and see all the features we were searching for via our guide. Thank you for providing such excellent materials for us. Being a homeschool educator it really helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What you need, when you need it Carolina has always been my go to firm when I need specimen. I teach in a proprietary college, and funds are always tight. Any of Carolina's preserved specimen will meet your needs and the service always exceeds expectations. I have used these fetal pigs many times over the years and have never been disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall Very Good These pigs were the perfect size (7-10") for dissection. Large enough to easily see organs, but small enough to make scalpels unnecessary. The only negative I have is that the specimens were a bit too bloody (externally) for my liking. I had to scrub the blood away with a scouring pad before dissection.
