Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Anatomy Nervous System Unit! I have used the sheep brains the past few years in my Anatomy and Physiology class during our Nervous System Unit. The students definitely get excited and are very engaged with this dissection. Great quality and there is a little smell of preservative with these, it is there, but pretty insignificant. It is also helpful to use the Carolina Dissection Mat to go along with the sheep brain dissection. The large colorful pictures help students with identification. http://www.carolina.com/preserved-organisms-classroom-resources/carolina-brain-dissection-mat/229910.pr?question=dissection+mat

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great supplement for education I used these specimens with the neuroscience club at my university and they were a huge success. Everyone really enjoyed looking at the anatomy in front of them and pretending they were surgeons ! I definitely recommend

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smelly but in good condition. The Perfect Solution still has a strong smell so beware. The brains are in good condition for the most part. Definitely a worthwhile activity for students.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from parts missing Most of the brains had incomplete optic lobes and optic chiasmas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as advertised I lead neuroscience outreach activities for elementary and middle schoolers, and I've ordered Carolina sheep brains several times. Exactly as advertised - it's a sheep brain. Comes in a nice reusable storage jar, submerged in the "non-toxic" Carolina fixative (while of course we still have the kids wear gloves, we can worry a bit less than with PFA). The kids absolutely love getting to hold and examine real brains, and it makes our lessons much more tangible and engaging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great film prop With simply moving the brain to an antique medical jar transforms this great sheep brain to a creepy child's brain from an older time. Will be buying more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The brains are in very good condition. These brains are very good for my high school anatomy students. They arrived in great condition and it was easy for my students to see structures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small I definitely prefer the 1 per bag route. Brains were not smashed at all. However, they were significantly smaller than in years past. Not an ideal size for a dissection.
