Students initiate nodal cultures on a defined medium in test tubes and force the formation of multiple shoots. Shoots are then rooted and transferred to soil. Includes all necessary materials except Miniature Rose Bush (# 191194), 100- and 10-mL graduated cylinders, 70% ethyl or isopropyl alcohol, household bleach, vermiculite or soil, and pots. The Demonstration Kit, for 1 to 10 students, contains 10 tubes each of initiation and rooting media; the Classroom Kit, for 30 students, contains 30 tubes of each. With instructions.
