For a class of 30 students. Using preserved pig hearts, preserved sheep hearts, and a preserved cow heart, students compare and contrast the internal and external structure of the hearts from these 3 species of mammals and explore the possible reasons for differences among them. Includes 6 pig hearts, 6 sheep hearts, and 1 cow heart to be used for extension activities and as a demonstration model.
