Grades 9–12. Students explore genetic inheritance by constructing model organisms based on selected genetic traits. They study dominant and recessive traits and perform monohybrid crosses to determine the traits of offspring.
- Observe inheritance traits over 3 generations
- Propose and test models for the inheritance of phenotypes
- Utilize probability to determine inheritance
Part of the Inquiries in Science™ series. Materials are sufficient for 30 students working in groups.
