A Carolina Exclusive! Grades 9-12. Introduce students to biotechnology as they extract their own DNA from cheek cells. Follow this activity with a setup of 5 stations, each introducing a different aspect of biotechnology: cloning, DNA fingerprinting, the Human Genome Project, genetic modification, and stem cells. Each station provides basic information on the topic, with all topics connected by the theme of bioethics.
