- Test ceramic ware, painted surfaces, and metal
- Attain results in seconds
- Perform up to 10 tests
A quick color test detects the presence of lead in your environment. FDA inspectors use this method for testing ceramic ware and enameled-metal food ware at ports of entry and manufacturing facilities. The kit incorporates several improvements to allow detection of excessive lead release from a variety of sources commonly found in home, school, and work environments. The kit tests all types of ceramic ware (dishes, cups, bowls, china, glazed pottery, glassware), enameled-metal food ware, painted surfaces (woodwork, toys, peeling paint), and metal surfaces (soldered seams on food cans, soldered joints on water pipes). Approximately 10 tests can be done with each kit.
The test procedures are simple and easy to perform. Results are achieved in a few seconds to a few minutes. Includes indicating solution, leaching solution, indicating tablets, test papers, abrasive strips, cotton applicators, and instructions. Supplied in plastic storage container, the unopened kit is stable for at least 1 year from date of purchase.
