Catastrophic Events is divided into 3 parts - storms, earthquakes, and volcanoes. Students investigate the causes and effects of thunderstorms, earthquakes, and volcanic activity. Global heating, plate tectonics, ash, and effects on the atmosphere are studied in depth.
Unit Kit comes with a Teacher's Guide, a Teacher's Tools CD, 16 reusable student guides, and the materials needed for a class of 32. Material Set contains additional equipment that's needed if the unit is taught more than one class each day. Refurbishment Set replenishes kit consumables.
