Intermediate - Easy to perform; requires some background knowledge.Students set up their own restriction digests of lambda DNA with BamHI, EcoRI, and HindIII using Instant DNA and Instant Enzymes. They then separate the resulting DNA fragments by electrophoresis. Gels can be run in 3 1/2 hours using three 9-V batteries or overnight with one battery.
