Using live bessbugs and petri plate "sleds," students observe and quantify the pulling power of a bess beetle. Are bess beetles stronger than humans? Is my bess beetle stronger than yours? This hands-on activity is sure to generate excitement in your classroom. Students gather data by weighing objects and calculating the pulling power of the bess beetle.
