Proper acclimation is the first and most important step in properly caring for your fish.
Immediately upon arrival of the fish, open the top of the bag and let in some fresh air
Float the bag in the holding tank or aquarium
After 20 to 30 minutes, remove and discard about 1/4 of the water from the bag and replace it with water from the holding tank or aquarium
Wait 15 minutes and repeat step 3
After another 15 minutes, carefully remove the fish with a net and place them in the tank
Discard the water in the shipping bag

These fish are very hardy in aquaria maintained at controlled room temperatures. Please keep in mind that these fish do not ship well during hot weather. The indicated length of a fish includes the tail fin.
