One-part, 65 × 15-mm culture plate with 10-mm grid in bottom. Prepared with tryptic soy agar. Lecithin and Tween 80® are added to neutralize disinfectants.
These plates make it easy to test surfaces for microorganisms as the agar surface is slightly raised. The cover is removed and the agar is applied directly to the surface to be tested. The plate is then incubated and the number of colonies counted using the grid.
