The Bean Beetle (Callosobrochus maculatus) - keeping a live insect culture has never been easier! Our bean beetle arrives on its host bean and requires no additional food or water. Easy to handle, the beetle allows teacher in grade 6 and up to bring inquiry-based study to the classroom. Adult bean beetles live 1 to 2 weeks, so order them when ready to use.

Grades 6–12. For 32 students working in groups of 4. Students study beetle anatomy and behavior using the easy-to-handle bean beetle. All materials are supplied for students to conduct and design their own guided-inquiry experiments.
