Students culture lily from bulb explants. Small bulbs will begin to form in 2 weeks. After 8 to 10 weeks in culture, bulbs are given a 2-week cold treatment and then planted in vermiculite. Includes all necessary materials except sterile water and ethanol (see item# 191184 Sterilizing Solutions Set) and household bleach. Refrigerate bulb upon arrival. The Classroom Kit is designed for a class of 30 students; the Demonstration Kit is for 1 to 2 students. With instructions. Kit contains coupon for prepaid delivery of perishable materials.
