Having acquired the skills taught in Module 1, students can now begin to understand more about media composition and how it affects what happens to plants growing in the culture. Students surface sterilize several different seeds and allow them to germinaate. After germination, cotyledons are first placed on callus-inducing medium, then transferred to a shoot-producing medium. Other cotyledons are placed on media of varied type and ratio of plant growth regulators. Requires 4 to 6 lab periods to complete. Kit contains coupon for prepaid delivery of perishable materials.
