Fast Plants® materials to help students explore Mendelian genetics and such concepts as segregation, independent assortment, inheritance of unit characters, and dominance.
Students grow and pollinate F1 hybrid plants to produce F2 progeny, segregating for 1 or 2 mutant traits. Extensions include the study of maternal inheritance. Experiment time is 55 to 100 days.
