Using a spectrophotometer, students quantitatively determine the total amount of cholesterol present in serum samples and calculate the amount of cholesterol present in the unknown sample provided. Materials needed but not supplied include a spectrophotometer (65-3304), pipets for 2.0-mL and 0.02-mL samples, and 37° C water bath. Reagents must be refrigerated. Includes sufficient materials for 50 tests.
