- Investigate Le Chatelier’s principle using colorful, reversible reactions
- Determine the solubility product of a salt
- Connect equilibrium reactions to real-world applications
Grades 9–12. Students discover that some chemical reactions are reversible and eventually reach a state of equilibrium. Using this knowledge, they investigate Le Chatelier’s principle—designing experiments that shift the equilibrium right or left through application of stresses such as temperature and concentration.
Part of the Inquiries in Science™ series. Materials are sufficient for 30 students working in groups of 3.
