Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! These amoeba are very easy to see. I am a home school student so I didn't have access to a school lab, I just had a microscope. I was first worried that I wouldn't be able to see them, but that quickly changed! They are visible and active. The vitachrome stain makes it easy to see all the organelles. If you have never viewed microscopic life using a microscope, I would definitely recommend starting with these, I was a very enlightening experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, large Amoeba We buy these amoeba often and usually a week ahead of the time we use them in class. They will last a good week and a half at least. You will find them sitting on the bottonm of the jar. Use a stereo-microscope with light coming from the bottom. Sometimes after a few days you won't see any, but if you lightly stir up the debris on the bottom of the jar to uncover the amoeba, they're there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Massive Amoebae! Great Value These Amoebae were so large that one of them filled most of a 40x objective. These Amoebae were easy to use an easy to keep. They were a little harder to use than the Proteus amoebae, but still a great buy. On a side note, some of these can actually been seen with the naked eye! Amazing creatures.
