In this Science Buddies science project, you’ll determine the amount of acid in different types of vinegar using titration with a colored pH indicator to determine the endpoint. You can customize this kit to include the Erlenmeyer flask, buret assembly, funnel, phenolphthalein, and other supplies needed to complete this experiment.

There are many different types of vinegar that you can buy to use around the kitchen for cooking and pickling. The chemical compound that gives vinegar its tart taste and pungent smell is acetic acid. Do different vinegars have different amounts of acetic acid? How much variation is there between the different types? Find out for yourself with this project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Googles at Great Price Nice fitting goggles with vents that allow for air flow. I just hope the lenses do not scratch and the straps do not come off like the last ones we purchased.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use and store The gloves come in a small box which is great for storing large amounts between use but several students have had gloved rip during use which is problematic. However, I'm not sure if the fault lies with the gloved or with the students.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Value I teach science workshops in many locations and need supplies that are durable and easy to transport. These graduated cyclinders are both, and for the price, I was able to buy a large quanitity. I purchased other plastic cylinders that were of a lower cost and they easily dissolved when students used them for an experiment. These cylinders were able to handle the same solvent with no problems. Quality at a great value!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent buy! I bought this for measuring the volume in the combustion chamber of the small engines I work on. The tool works very well, and it is an absolute night and day difference from the last buret I had. I use Marvel Mystery Oil in it, and it hasn't damaged the buret. It's accurate and comes with everything I needed to get going. I wish that the buret clamp itself was a little more user friendly, but that's just me being picky. This is a superb buy! ~Josh

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good solid tool. This unit will serve the intended single purpose use well enough. The associated hardware are substantial and will last long. It was a cost effective purchase. The use is private, mechanical, -- non educational.
