In this Science Buddies science project, you will investigate how acidic water can dissolve limestone rocks. You can customize this kit to include the limestone rocks, electronic scale, jars, and other supplies needed to complete this experiment.

There are some types of rocks that can actually be dissolved by common liquids. It might be hard to imagine large, hard rocks being eaten away by some ordinary fluids, right? But it actually happens all the time! In this project, you will investigate how one type of rock—specifically limestone—can be dissolved by acidic water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product I've been using these strips with my classes for several years. They are durable and are easy to use, no learning curve. Only downside, they are a little on the expensive side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 16 Limestone Rocks This product includes 16 limestone rocks, as described. We tested the rocks using vinegar and, as expected, the vinegar was able to (partially) dissolve the rocks. Each rock is around 20 grams to 50 grams in mass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Messy I am not a teacher and use these strips to test the PH of my urine. What's great is that they're not messy and the range on the strips are so wide.
