Rated 2 out of 5 by from The worms don't last...AKA died. We received the eggs for silkworms in mail, all in complete and healthy state. However, they all hatched within 3 days, real quick compared to what was expected, one week. We kept the environment warm and humidity was present as well. The worms didn't make it to the next 2 weeks in spite of being fed and having the right environment. I tried calling and finding out more information from Carolina Center and I was told the call would be returned. I didn't get a call. The eggs might be genetically affected since they are not in nature and being multiplied for sale. I would not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliving childhood. My brother use to grow them when I was a child and sold the eggs to supply houses.(60yrs ago). He would then go to Boy Scout camp and I had to collect the mulberry leaves. At least 1 large grocery bag and some years more, he was suppose to pay me! I don't remember being paid. Can you imagine how many silkworms he was growing. After 2 weeks I am realizing how I felt back then, it is still annoying to have to find those stupid mulberry leaves. However, my grandchildren find it interesting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The product arrived. The eggs hatched and the worms did not make it. When you have students excited about the process and the eggs hatch, it is an experience to behold. This was the first year I did not have silkworms and it is very disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic for use with the book Project Mulberry! I ordered a set of silkworms and my 5th grade students have been amazed watching their lifecycle change right before their very eyes! It is a great science connection to use with the book Project Mulberry! Will do it again!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from too many worms Ordered a silkworm kit for my daughter. It arrived in 2 business days. I suppose to receive 25 eggs, but actually there were nearly 200 of them! The eggs hatched within one week with > 95% hatch rate. Now I'm worried if my mulberry tree can survive this summer.
