Use this set of 8 top-quality brain models to study comparative anatomy, the nervous system, and evolution. Each 1-part model depicts the detailed anatomy of a particular vertebrate. Homologous structures across species are presented in the same color, allowing for easy comparison. These models were created at the anatomical institute of the University of Freiburg using fresh or well-preserved specimens under the supervision of Dr. Wiedersheim, attributing to the anatomical preciseness of each model.
A brain model from each of the following species is included: lamprey (Lampetra fluviatilis), dogfish (Scyliorhinus caniculus), trout (Salmo trutta fario), frog (Rana esculenta), alligator (Alligator mississippiensis), dove (Columba livia domestica), rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), and dog (Canis lupus familiaris). Significant structures are color coded and a key is included. Each model is on a stand with green base.
