Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad year for ants I have ordered ants from Carolina the two previous school years to inhabit my classroom ant farms. Both times, they were delivered in good condition and lasted in the farms for two weeks. This year, there were only 17 ants alive out of an order of 100. Carolina replaced the order, but half the ants were dead in the second order and those survivors were dead in their farms the next day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dead-Ants I rec'd the live specimen (ants) and followed the enclosed instructions to the T. Within 24 hours of putting them in their giant ant farm, all the ants were dead. What went wrong?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from so much fun Just purchased this ant farm and some ants to go with it. The trick is to get the ants INTO the ant farm. Even after doing this 3 times over the past years, the ants didn't slow down enough in the refrigerator. Make sure they stay in long enough to get REALLY slow. Otherwise you will end up like me with a painful little ant bite that radiated UP my ARM. Regardless, they are so much fun to watch tunnel and the farm is the perfect width to watch their tunnels form. Try not to handle the ants directly if possible!
