Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would have been great IF they had lived. Our students were so excited to get their spiders! They built there habitats the day before they were to arrive. They oohed ans ahhed over them, used magnifying glasses to observe them, caught them crickets at recess to eat. However, of the 6 we ordered, only 2 lived more than 3 days( they each had their own separate habitat). We did everything that was suggested on the paperwork that told how to care for them. I would not recommend purchasing them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleased with this purchase (again)! This is the 2nd time I have purchased these and left a review, and I'm happy with them this time, as well. Staff was accommodating to my request (I asked for certain sized specimens) and all spiders, including the extra 7th one they threw in, were all alive and healthy and packaged very well. The only con was that I requested male spiders, if possible, and received a note that they were not able to tell the gender of the spiders. This is something anyone familiar with spiders could easily do, especially in large adult specimens like I was sent (all were female), so my only suggestion would be to have someone on staff that could help with such things in the future.... but truly that is not a big deal; I'm not even marking it as a "con" in the boxes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with my wolf spiders! I ordered the six pack of wolf spiders and they all arrived healthy and alive; I even got an extra one (for a total of 7), so that was neat! I got an adult female Pardosa sp. that already had an egg sac attached, an adult male Pardosa sp., and the other five appear to be immature Hogna spp... which is great because I can watch them grow and molt and can look forward to what they look like as full-grown adults. Hogna are the country's largest wolf spiders, so I am excited to see what species they turn out to be (you can only figure that out once they're full-grown). The shipment was packed very well. Biodegradable packing peanuts surrounded the plastic containers which had a wet paper towel inside of them to keep the spider from desiccating and give them something to hold onto during shipment (I believe this is why they arrived alive!). Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and plan on making it again in the future!
