Designed to be safe and approachable, the kit activities break down each portion of the gene editing reaction into fundamental steps, offering teachable moments along the way. Students will:

  • Understand how CRISPR interacts with DNA
  • Carry out gene editing reactions in a cell-free environment
  • Visualize all gene editing products from a single reaction
  • Develop a fundamental understanding of the degree of mutagenesis and precise or error-prone gene editing outcomes

Kit includes background information, experimental overview, timelines, expected results, and more, plus enough materials for 10 reactions. Note: Kit contains perishable items that require immediate use upon receipt or storage at –20° C for use at a later date. Specify a delivery date during checkout. Plan to be present when kit is delivered to ensure proper handling and storage. Should not be shipped over a weekend.
