Students set up a choice experiment to determine the food preferences of Brassica butterfly larvae. Results are collected and quantified, and their significance is determined using chi-square analysis. Applying these techniques, students pose proximate and ultimate questions about other Brassica butterfly larvae behaviors and design an experiment to answer the questions.

The 8-Station Kit includes enough materials for a class of 32 students working in groups of 4. The 1-Station Kit includes materials for 1 group of 4 students. The 8-Station Refill replaces consumed items. The digital teacher's manual is a 12-month eBook license to the Animal Behavior Kit teacher's manual.
