Description
Students explore the process of transformation as they build toward further understanding of heritability and the use of biotechnology. In the Guided Investigation, students perform a transformation activity using sterile technique. They build knowledge regarding plasmid function, genotype/phenotype connection, and antibiotic resistance. Then during the Inquiry Investigation, students design a new experiment to further develop their understanding of transformation. Kit includes enough materials for 8 groups. Note: Order the kit with the perishable material included or with a prepaid coupon to request perishable material later at your convenience. Contact us or return the coupon to request delivery of perishable material.
