Grades 3-5. What do your students know about sound? This group of interactive whiteboard activities for the STC™ unit, Sound, provides students the opportunity to classify instruments into 3 categories: wind instruments, percussion instruments, and string instruments. Students read a nonfiction text and complete a comprehension activity about Chuck Yeager, the first person in a plane to break the sound barrier. They study the anatomy of the ear and how it works as a system to allow us to hear sound, and label the parts of the ear. Science notebooks are utilized as students reflect on their understanding of sound. Access for 1 teacher for 60 months.
