Grade 3 and up. Students construct their very own alternator and learn how alternators work. They can view the inner workings of the alternator, watch it produce electricity, and see the LED light up. Alternator can be assembled in less than an hour. Kit provides enough materials (including a neodymium magnet) for a single student or a group of students working together, along with an assembly instruction manual.
