Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the different varieties This is a wonderful kit to explore how crystals are created. Hands on learning is the best way to get an idea of all the processes formation takes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for classroom use, good for home use My students and I were so excited about growing crystals in the classroom. Unfortunately, you cannot complete all '13' experiments it says you can do at once - so if you have a class of 35 students like I have, it will not work. Experiment 1 must be done first and then you wait 10 days...after that experiment 2 then you wait a few more days...etc. I ended up offering as extra credit after school. Directions were not clear at all so you didn't quite know how much of the crystal chemicals to add to water. This would be fun for a kid at home or personal use, the crystals were really cool once they grew, but not for the classroom.
