This set of 20 ocean specimens includes the following: algae; barnacle shell; finger sponge; commercial sponge (usually a silk sponge); sea bean; bivalve shells (clam, scallop, and turkey wing); gastropod shells (olive, Turritella, cowrie, and turbo); limpet shell; a center-cut spiral shell to show development; tusk shells; starfish; sand dollar; stony coral; soft coral; and a sea horse. These "hands-on" specimens are dried. Each is housed in a reusable 4 x 6" bag with a descriptive card giving the name of the organism and a brief, simple description with interesting facts. Set includes a labeled 7 x 10 x 4" box for convenient storage.
