Biorama™ preparation. Students easily observe soil horizons with this instructive display. The mount shows the clear physical distinctions, such as color and particle size, between soil layers. The following soil horizons are shown: organic (O), topsoil (A), eluviation (E), subsoil (B), regolith (C), and bedrock (R). A stem of grass and a small mushroom are shown on the soil surface, allowing students to observe how roots and mycelium travel through the soil layers. A key with a short description of each horizon is mounted on the display. Mounted in a 16 x 12" display case.
