Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple idea, but made connections with food webs and energy pyramids I was looking in the prep room for an activity or game for my 7th grade life science students to play involving food webs. There were not enough games I was looking, but I found several boxes of Predator, the Food Chain game. My tutor worked out the rules and I tried the game with my first class of the day. The students LOVED the activity. Not only did the cards show what the organism eats, but what the organism is eaten by and has energy points which helped with the students understanding of an energy pyramid. I was a little leery about a card game with the students. They are so connected with electronics. I was encouraged by the excitement and enthusiasm as the students were so intent on checking out the information on the cards while they were playing. I have shared my experience with my subject teachers and have asked to purchase additional games for next year.
