This culture includes F1 fruit flies from a cross between wingless (apterous ap56f) female flies and winged (wild type) male flies. The culture is expected to produce an F2 ratio of 3 wild type:1 apterous.
Our Drosophila F1 cultures make it easy to study crosses because we deliver exactly what you need. Each vial contains larvae and pupae of the F1 generation of a cross between 2 different strains of Drosophila. (The parent generation is removed before shipment.) Note: Please order at least 2 weeks in advance of desired ship date. When culture arrives, remove caps but leave the plugs in place. Keep cultures out of sunlight and maintain at 68–77° F (20–25° C).
